Jinx spent 12 years in education — 7 in the classroom teaching math and science, 5 as a director of special education. Teaching is her passion, but herbs, healing, and magic are a way of life.

Earlier this year, she published the Imperfect Witch Book of Shadows. While writing it she kept running into the same problem — every herbal reference she found covered either the healing properties or the magical properties. Never both. She wanted to understand and use both, so she wrote her book, and as she has gone deeper, created a class to share even more!

You will learn the scientific properties of plants alongside their magical ones. We'll work hands-on with five herbs, using different solvents to extract distinct plant compounds — and explore the many ways each can be used. How to apply plant knowledge to your spellwork. How to apply magical knowledge to building herbal remedies. How to actually get the most out of your herbs and oils.

This class is held live on Zoom on July 18th at 1 PM EST. It is hands-on — a supply list will be emailed by June 26th (for early registration) or after you register, so you can gather your own materials. Each section invites reflection, experimentation, and personal interpretation, encouraging readers to build their own relationship with the craft.
